About Tony O'Hagan.I competed in my first Triathlon in 1987. Since that time I have been hooked on Triathlon, and the related disciplines of swimming, cycling, and running. I have been involved in the sport as an athlete, administrator, and a coach. As an Athlete I have competed at World Championship level, starting as an age group athlete, and moving on to the New Zealand Elite team. My career moved toward Ironman, and I have competed in numerous Triathlons around the world. My best result include second in the New Zealand Ironman, 5 New Zealand Titles, an age group medal and top 30 at Elite level at World Championships. For a list of some of my career highlights, click here. I was always interested in others idea's for training from quite early on in my involvement in the sport. I went to numerous training camps, and talked with many coaches on their training ideas. I have also been involved in Triathlon New Zealand Coaching camps (as a student and a teacher!). I have been coaching Other athletes for 10 years. I have coached other athletes to top 3 finishes at Ironman, Top 5 at Triathlon World Championship Age group (Olympic distance), and top 15 World Championships Elite (Olympic distance). I have also coached masters swimmers and cyclists. My aim is to get the best out of an athlete, given their resources. Those resources include ability, training history, time available (some athletes have real jobs and family commitments!), and training environment. If you are interested in Being coached, or
